A computer experts group has warned Apple of a serious security flaw that affects the company’s latest gadget, which could totally compromise the data contained inside the phone.

Researchers from Independent Security Evaluators, said that they could take control of iPhones through a WiFi connection or by tricking users into going to a Web site that contains malicious code.

The company said it had alerted Apple to the problem and recommended a way to fix it. Apple said it was examining the report.
