Reports from reliable sources indicated that a multinational company announced that it will cease operation in the Philippines. The announcement was made today September 4, 2007.

It was reported that company staff were in shocked about the sudden move and that most of them are in disbelief.

Initial reports indicated that the reason for the said closure was the failure to deliver what is expected from the Philippine subsidiary.

“The report has been going on for years, now it happened” said one source. “It was a matter of time, we knew all along that it will be announced sooner or later” said another source.

“They have been very busy lately, meetings and sales calls were made left and right, perhaps they’re trying their very best to meet their numbers. With the announcement, they seem to have failed in achieveing that goal” said another source.

“I was told that they will downscale their operation in the Philippines due to sales performance issues.  I never thought it will lead to an operation closure” said another source.

Calls and text messages sent to the company were unanswered as of press time.
