Canon Inc. reported a 1.8% rise in its fourth-quarter profit, helped by strong sales across most of its business and geographical divisions.

Canon’s consolidated net income for the fourth quarter rose 1.8% to 127.85 billion yen or $1.12 billion from 125.56 billion yen a year ago. Quarterly net sales increased 3.9% to 1.26 trillion yen or $11.09 billion from 1.22 trillion yen in the previous year.
