Fujitsu announced they will soon display a concept laptop product whose casing would be made up of wood.   Most laptops are usually made up of plastic or metal.

Fujitsu added that the product would make use of cedar wood for the case.  Fujitsu said that wood based laptops are not really suitable for mass production though they are working on using bio plastic in their products.

Walt Disney announced that they are soon going to move to 3D format for their animated movies.

Disney said in a statement that all of their movies would be made in this format beginning with “Up” next year.

Google Teaming Up With Salesforce.com

Salesforce.com and Google announced that they have joined to enhance Google Apps. Salesforce.com will be integrated into Google Apps. Their customer relationship management applications will be available Salesforce.com customers.

Salesforce.com customers will have the option to use versions of Google Apps linked to the site.

Integration between the two on-demand platforms allows users to push Gmail messages and Google Talk conversations into the Salesforce.com application to share information about a lead.  Additionally, sales teams can access and collaborate on documents like sales presentations.

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. has revealed that their chief technical officer Phil Hester is leaving the company.

He has now become the third top level executive in the company to quit the company.

AMD said that Hester has resigned to pursue other opportunities.
