His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI will send hundreds of thousands of text messages every day to registered pilgrims during World Youth Day, the six-day Catholic carnival in Sydney in July.
In addition to receiving the “daily inspirational text messages”, pilgrims will be able to send messages to big-screen digital prayer walls located across Sydney.

Apple’s iMac has turned 10 years old last May 6, 2008. Apple Computer, Inc. unveiled iMac last May 6, 1998.
The iMac helped Apple stagger to its feet, and in 2001 the iPod helped get the company back to the top of its game.

AMD has updated its server processor roadmap with single-die 6-core and dual-die 12-core Opteron processors.
The new processors will be manufactured in a 45 nm process that will be introduced with the Shanghai quad-core later this year.
While the chip will remain compatible with the current Socket F (1207) platform, the L3 cache will triple to 6 [...]

After the failed Yahoo bid, Microsoft have sent “feelers” to Facebook for a possible full acquisition.
Microsoft currently owns 1.6% stake in Facebook, worth $240 million.

The Federal Court in Los Angeles Awarded the Music Industry $110 Million dollars. The judgement against Valence Media which runs Torrent Spy equals $30,000 per infringement with 3699 infringements shown.
TorrentSpy is barred from indexing any more copyrighted material.
Torrent Spy closed its site down on March 24, 2008.
