Hewlett Packard announced the launch of their new environment friend product HP DeskJet D2545 Printer.
As much as 83% of the printer’s total plastic weight is recycled material.
This printer also uses their HP 60 ink cartridges which are also molded from recycled plastic resins.

Nintendo of America was ordered by the courts to pay $21 million to Anascape for infringing on their patented technologies.
The courts said that Nintendo infringed on patents owned by Anascape in designing controllers for Nintendo Wii and Nintendo GameCube consoles.
The lawsuit was filed way back in 2006.

Microsoft announced that they are now closing down their division which scans and indexes books from libraries.
The company said that the operations were no longer fitting in their plans for its own search services.
Microsoft launched the project to take on similar services provided by arch rival Google.

Symantec revealed that they are working on a web based parental control service that would enable parents to keep a tight watch on what their kids do online.
Symantec said that it is more of a “family online safety” program rather than the usual parent control application.

Yahoo announced that they are postponing their annual meeting to sometime July 2008.
This is the second time that they have delayed this meeting. The first delay was mostly due to the Microsoft’s acquisition bid.
