A security hole in Citibanks ATM was exploited by three individuals who took over two Million dollars in a five month period.
The thieves connected to the back end computer where they collected the PIN numbers as they were being transmitted. It seems that the PIN numbers are not encrypted when sent, that is why it was intercepted.
The thieves are now facing federal charges for the crime.
