The First Android Phone – HTC Dream

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has approved a phone from HTC that could be the first phone to ship with the Linux-based Google Android stack.
The 5 x 3-inch HTC Dream sports a slide-or-swivel QWERTY keypad, touchscreen with haptic feedback, WiFi, and Bluetooth.

Symantec to Acquire PC Tools

Symantec has announced that they are acquiring PC Tools.
PC Tools develops and sell applications which are designed to enhance security and privacy on Windows OS based systems.
PC Tools said that they would continue to offer products under the PC Tools brand. They would continue to work independently as a unit of Symantec’s consumer business unit.

New zero-day MS Word vulnerability Found

Apple releases iPhone 2.0.2 update

Apple has released the latest firmware update for their iPhone mobile device. Apple iPhone owners can now upgrade to firmware 2.0.2.
Early implementors said the update has not resolved the much talked about 3G reception problems which led some to conclude that indeed the reception problem is a hardware problem.
