Apple Sued Over iPhone 3G Problems

Jessica Alena Smith, a resident of Birmingham filed a class-action lawsuit in the Alabama Northern District Court charging Apple Inc. with a breach of express and implied warranty and unjust enrichment. The suit alleges that Apple engaged in misleading advertising practices during aggressive iPhone 3G marketing campaign.

Intel unveils Touchscreen Classmate PC

Intel has unveiled a touchscreen version of its Classmate PC for developing nations. The latest Classmate will feature a 8.9in, 1024 x 600 touchscreen display and the ability to swivel into a tablet design.
It will also be powered by the latest Atom processor from Intel.

Palm Announces the Treo Pro

Palm announced the new Treo Pro handset running on Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro. The handset offers portable versions of some Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. The headset has Wi-Fi connectivity and features 320 x 320 pixel touchscreen.

Friendster now allowing third party applications

Friendster has announced that they are now letting third party developers to code applications for their service. These applications would also be supported on rival services.
Friendster is already a member of Google’s OpenSocial initiative which allows developers to code application for a single platform which works on multiple sites.
