MSI to launch 3.5G netbook

MSI (Micro-Star International) will be launching an all new Wind U120 with a built-in 3.5G module sometime November 2008.
The MSI Wind U120 Netbook will feature built-in 3.5G module, Intel’s Atom N270 processor, Windows XP, 1GB memory and 120GB hard drive.

ASUS rolls out Eee PC 1002HA

Asus recently introduces the EeePC 1002HA, a middle way between 1000 and S101.
The Eee PC1002HA would have a 2-cell battery to effect a smaller size, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, and 160GB of HDD.

OLPC gets Windows XP

Microsoft has finally been successful in coming out with a version of Windows XP that would fit the needs of One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) XO machine.
The OLPC version of Windows has been slimmed down to make it possible for it run out of the 2GB flash memory card.

McAfee, Inc. announced that it is teaming with industry leaders HP ProCurve, Intel Corporation and VMware Inc. The cooperation is designed to deliver best-in-class security for HP ProCurve networking products, Intel business PC platforms and the VMware platform.
The partnership is to deliver security with PC hardware, networking components and virtualization software.
