Toshiba in talks to buy Fujitsu’s harddrive business

Japan’s Toshiba Corp. is in the final stages of talks to buy Fujitsu’s hard-disk drive business for 30 to 40 billion yen ($333 to $444 million), a deal that would make Toshiba the world’s biggest supplier of small hard drives.

China’s mobile Internet population surged a whopping 113 percent in 2008 and could see explosive growth in the coming years, said a report issued by the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC).
