Woman ordered to pay $1.92 million to RIAA

After downloading and sharing 24 songs on Kazaa peer-to-peer network, 32-year old Jammie Thomas-Rasset was fined $80,000 per song or a total of $1.92 million after federal court ruled that she was guilty of copyright violation.
The verdict was the outcome of the retrial of the original decision to award the RIAA with $9,250 per song. [...]

Twitter email spreads worm

Users are warned regarding a fake Twitter invites in their email inboxes. The email invite comes with a malicious attachment which, if downloaded, harvests email addresses from your computer and copies itself to removable drives and shared folders.
