HP Philippines launched its “first of its kind” environmental campaign My Backyard, which includes computer laboratories showcasing HPs latest technologies.
The Center for Excellence (CENTEX), a project of the Ayala Foundation, Inc. Ayala Land, Inc., Globe Telecom, Inc., the local government units of Manila and Batangas, and the Department of Education was chosen as the campaigns first beneficiary.
HP also funded the construction and development of a new CENTEX’s digital classroom which hosts the latest HP products including HP Pavilion PCs, the HP TouchSmart PC, and the HP Laserjet and “all-in-one” printers.

“HP believes that technology plays a vital role in education. CENTEX’s newly renovated computer room will certainly enable students to leverage on the power of technology” said Satjiv Chahil, SVP of Global Marketing, PSG, Hewlett Packard.
Among the campaign’s activities include a community-wide cleanup and the development of a Web site where students can upload photos, essays and videos with “nature-friendly” themes.
