Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation (SEPCO) currently launched three of its latest products, the Samsung SyncMaster (LED HDTV Monitor) LT23A350, the Samsung SyncMaster SA series 3D LED monitor and the Samsung Central Station LED Monitor C23A750.

The Samsung SyncMaster LT23A350 adopts Samsung full HD (1920 x 1080) monitor, providing 250cd/m2 brightness and Mega DCR technology. Hence, image quality is more distinctive and HD motion videos will not be blurred, users can then enjoy the seamless details and realistic images.

The Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) released the first comprehensive overview summarizing distracted driving research for state officials. The report considered research from more than 350 scientific papers published between 2000 and 2011.

The report summarizes: what distracted driving is, how often drivers are distracted, how distraction impacts driver performance and crash risk, what countermeasures may be most effective and what states can do to reduce distracted driving.

“Despite all that has been written about driver distraction, there is still a lot that we do not know,” said GHSA Executive Director Barbara Harsha, who oversaw the report’s development. “Much of the research is incomplete or contradictory. Clearly, more studies need to be done addressing both the scope of the problem and how to effectively address it.”

A German security agency warned that a “critical weaknesses” in the Apple Inc. software could make users of iPhones, iPads and iPod touches open to theft of personal data.

The German Federal Office for Information Security said that simply by clicking on an infected PDF file while using Apple’s iOS operating system “is sufficient to infect the mobile device with malware without the user’s knowledge.”

Facebook is set to launch a new video chat product that would be powered by Microsoft-owned Skype.

Facebook and Skype have been working together, including integration of various Facebook features into the Skype service. Facebook has over 750 million users, while Skype has 170 million. Skype has over 207 billion minutes of voice and video conversations in 2010.

Samsung sold more than 3 million units of its Galaxy S II smartphone since its debut in late April, and around 19 million smartphones in all during the past quarter.

“This milestone reflects the continued strong support from our carrier partners around the world who have chosen the GALAXY S II as their flagship Android device,” Samsung Mobile Communications Business President and Head JK Shin said.

Scammers have begun exploiting the launch of Google’s new Google+ social network, with a growing number of spam emails that imitate Google+ invitations, which instead directs users to a pharmaceutical website.

The invitation looks similar to the genuine Google+, However, clicking on the links will not take you to the new social network, but instead take you to a pharmacy website set up to sell the likes of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra to the unwary.
