Sony reopens VAIO shop as flagship accessory store

In partnership with local distributor Avid Sales Corporation, Sony Philippines reopens VAIO shop as the flagship accessory store that carries all Sony product line and accessories as well as premium support services to its customers at the Cyberzone area of SM Megamall in Ortigas Center, Madaluyong City.

“The store showcases the whole Sony lifestyle,” said Takao Kuroda, Sony Philippines President and Managing Director. “It’s meant to meet all our customers’ Sony accessory and gadget needs—if you can’t find it here, then you can’t find it anywhere else.”

All the main products of Sony – except the BRAVIA line of LCD televisions – are offered in the newly-refurbished shop. Moreover, it puts the spotlight to the wide array of accessories that complements its products series such as the VAIO laptops, Handycam, Cyber-shot cameras and Walkman music players.

The newly-refurbished VAIO shop is also the first Sony store in the country that offers Sony’s Premium Services – an extensive suite of value-added benefits designed to complement the over-all shopping experience. It includes get-me-started services, consumer workshops for different product categories, one-on-one consultations with in-store specialists and serving as a collection point for the service centers.

“It really is a one-stop shop for Sony enthusiasts,” notes Kuroda. “Whether shopping for new accessories and gadgets or bringing them in to be fixed, you can do it all in this branch.”

To highlight the Alpha series of digital SLRs, the store offers a Workshop Center facility that holds workshops on the Alpha line. Moreover, it also showcases the wide range of accessories lenses and flashes for the Alpha DSLRs to help both amateur and professional photographers to bring their craft to the next level.

“Opening the flagship store is really just the start for us,” he notes. “We plan to bring Sony even closer to its customers and provide them with the best service possible.”

Sony Philippines also announced its Premium Services, which customers can enjoy the moment they step into a Sony Centre or VAIO shop to long after they have purchased a Sony product.
