In keeping with changing technological trends and consumer demands, LG rolls out its answer to the modern smartphone challenge- the Optimus Vu (pronounced as “view”), which initially debuted in Korea and Japan. With online consumption expanding to include visual web properties like Pinterest and Instagram, and the increasing demand for mobile entertainment on-the-go, LG has responded by creating a powerful smartphone that can deliver a viewing experience without compromises.

The Optimus Vu features a 5-inch IPS display with a 4:3 aspect ratio, creating the perfect view for reading digital books and magazines, video streaming, and presenting PowerPoint slideshows.

The generous screen size also makes QuickMemo—which has been upgraded—even more fun to use. The Optimus Vu essentially combines two highly sought-after devices—smartphones and tablets—into one highly productive, high-performance device for all communication and entertainment needs.

To support such high demands, the Optimus Vu sports the powerful NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, which still features the 4-PLUS-1 functionality that allows for superior performance while keeping power usage efficient. The four primary cores are used for tasks that require heavy-duty processing like games and multitasking, while for simple tasks like music, calls, text, and email, only the 5th core is used.

All this power, combined with the generous 5-inch display and 4:3 aspect ratio, truly makes the Optimus Vu: the perfect device to always have in your pocket, which it surprisingly fits into quite easily. For its Philippine roll-out, the Optimus Vu will come with a leather case (available in two colors, depending on the color of the unit purchased), a stylus pen, and a 3,000 mAh portable power storage.

The Optimus Vu is now available at all LG Mobile Concept Stores nationwide for an SRP of  27,990.00 Php.
