Microsoft Windows Live SkyDrive launched

Microsoft has finally opened up its free online storage service named Windows Live SkyDrive.

The service provides up to 5 GB of free storage in password-protected servers.  Users have the option to save the files privately or share them with their friends or even everyone.

Users would be able to access these files from anywhere by just using a web browser connected to the internet.

Google lead Search Engine Usage

Nielsen Online said that Google continues to dominate the market with a market share of 56.9% share which is equivalent to around 4.22 billion queries in the month of January.

Yahoo came second with a market share of 19% (1.41 billion searches).  Microsoft was third with 12.1% share. AOL stayed at the fourth spot with 4.7% share.

Sony launches 13.6 megapixel digital camera

Sony launched their Cyber-shot DSC-W300 pocket-sized digital camera model which offers a 13.6 megapixel CCD sensor.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300 also comes loaded with Sony’s “Super Steady Shot” image stabilization, noise reduction, and smile recognition technologies. The camera also features a component video output.

Lenovo launched their ThinkPad X300 ultraportable machine.

The X300 weighs 2.93 pounds (base model) and has more features when compared to the Apple MacBook Air.  Lenovo has equipped this notebook with three USB ports and DVD Writer.

Nokia reveals flexible Morph phone

Nokia in collaboration with the University of Cambridge researchers has developed the concept of an innovative moldable mobile handset called “Morph”.

Nokia claims that with the help of nanotechnology future mobile phones can be made see-through and have the ability to self-clean their surfaces.

Nokia says it will take seven years for Morph phones to hit global markets.
