Asus to make scented laptop

Asus are to launch a scented laptop in their newest line. The scented laptop, to be called Asus F6, will come in four different designs and smells to choose from. The external design of the laptops will match their flower scent.

The four different designs have been named Floral Blossom, Musky Black, Morning Dew and Aqua Ocean.

The Asus F6 will feature an Intel Core Duo Processor, Wifi, 13.3 inch WXGA Color Shine LCD, web camera, fingerprint scanner and come in various hard drive sizes. You will have the option of a 120Gb, 160GB, 250GB or 320GB hard drive and will come with Vista installed as the OS.

Nokia has expanded its N-Series with the release of two new handsets designed to raise the game for mid-range mobiles – N85 and N79.

The Nokia N85 slider features a 2.6-inch OLED screen, GPS with turn by turn navigation, a 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics and an FM transmitter. Nokia has also bundled 10 games and 8GB memory card with the phone.

The Nokia N79 candybar handset has similar features as the Nokia N85 but instead comes with a 4GB memory card.

Sony announced a new wireless multi-room Audio system specifically designed for iPods called the S-AIRPLAY system. The system delivers audio wirelessly to included speakers without causing interference with other household devices.

The system includes one docking station and two wireless speakers and can transmit to up to 10 speakers at the same time. Features include an AM/ FM tuner that can be listened to in one room while a user in another room listens to the iPod simultaneously.

Apple released an update for the MacBook Air meant to resolve a longstanding problem with processor idling as well as one with video playback.

The MacBook Air Update addresses a problem reported by users on Apple’s support forums and elsewhere in which one of the two Core 2 Duo processors would shut down when heat became an issue, significantly slowing down the system until it cooled down.

The fix also mends some problems with video playback on the ultraportable notebooks.

Sony to introduce 160GB PS3

Sony Computer Entertainment America announced plans to introduce a new $500, 160GB PlayStation 3 bundle, as well as an updated version of its PSP handheld that will bring an improved LCD screen and built-in microphone.

The new 160GB Playstation 3 will have a wireless keypad, a new peripheral for Sixaxis and Dualshock wireless controllers that will allow touch typing.

Equipped with Bluetooth, the wireless keypad can be paired to a PS3 by simply connecting the keypad to the USB cable that comes bundled with the PS3 system. Also, two shortcut buttons, a communication button and a message box button, are placed on the lower part of the wireless keypad, enabling users to jump to pre-set features on XMB (XrossMediaBar) such as “Friends” and “Message Box” during game play, which will help PS3 users to smoothly communicate with each other.
