“Bibingkinitan” chose SAP Business One

To further improve their operation, FoodAsia Corporation, the company that operates Bibingkinitan, TeaSquare, BibingkaCafe and FreshFoods selected SAP Business One solution through SAP-licensed reseller Clerysys Philippines, Inc.

With SAP Business One, FoodAsia expects to streamline its business processes and implement control measures on inventory management, distribution and logistics, and accounting systems. Another expectation is to increase productivity levels and efficiency of its staff by spending less time in the manual process of monitoring transactions.

“With our products being distributed through various retail channels like our company-owned stores, franchised-owned stores, and other retail partners, SAP Business One will allow us to get accurate figures which in turn, will help us make quick management decisions” said Richard Sanz, president and CEO of FoodAsia Corporation.

NEO Showroom at SM North Cyberzone

Computer maker NEO computers open their latest showroom at the SM Cyberzone North Edsa. Partners, friends and members of the media graced the ocassion.

The showroom will served as NEO’s showroom and service center. Other Neo showrooms are located at SM Megamall, Cebu and Davao.

NEC Corporation has completed the development of a new compact touchscreen POS terminal aimed at the Food and Beverage industry. The corporation releases the TWINPOS3500G1 in the Philippines through their Philippine subsidiary, NEC Philippines.

Other features include a touch-panel screen and flash memory that delivers a fan-less and keyboard less unit. The new hardware is less susceptible to breakdowns and incorporates energy saving functions.

The unit is also equipped with application software for the retail and restaurant industries.

Mobile industry group GSMA has announced that the major mobile phone manufacturers are collaborating to ensure that all new mobile phones would have a common charging interface by 2012.

Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG, T-Mobile, Orange, 3, AT&T and Vodafone have all backed the plan.

Sony launches new Cyber-shot cameras

Sony introduced five new Cyber-shot point-and-shoot cameras including the DSC-T900, DSC-T90, DSC-H20, and DSC-W230.

The cameras feature intelligent auto mode that enhances faces to capture realistic skin tones, identify when the subject has their eyes closed, and to reduce blur. Intelligent scene recognition detects up to eight scenes and can recognize objects, faces, and light conditions.
