Jennifer Lopez take back domain names

Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has won rights to two domain names jenniferlopez.net and jenniferlopez.org domains. Both sites which were being used to mislead fans to pages filled with advertisements.

Pierce Brosnan, Tom Cruise, Celine Dion, Scarlett Johansson, Nicole Kidman, Madonna and Julia Roberts are some other celebrities who have won similar cybersquatting lawsuits against domain squatters.

Microsoft CEO Steve Balmer and Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz has started up discussions over a possible advertising pact.

One possible deal would have Microsoft selling search ads for Yahoo while Yahoo sells display ads on all Microsoft properties in exchange.

The Bluetooth Special Interest Group announced that it will unveil the full details of the new Bluetooth 3.0 specification on April 21.

The new version of the popular standard will allow users to transfer photos, music, videos and other information at much greater speeds. It will speed up the transfers in many ways, one of which is the ability to utilize Wi-Fi via an 802.11 Protocol Adaption Layer when it is available.

Microsoft has been fined $11.8 million by German antitrust officials over the alleged price fixing of their Office 2007 software.

Microsoft was found responsible for unfairly setting the price of Office 2007 Home and Student illegally by talking to undisclosed retailers about the price before promptly promoting the software together.

Microsoft says it disagrees with the verdict but it will comply with the ruling.

Skype founders is buying Skype back

Skype founders Niklas Zennstrom from Sweden and Janus Friis from Denmark are reportedly seeking to buy the company back from eBay.

eBay is reported to be expecting no less than $1.7 billion for Skype. Skype was sold by the founders to eBay for $2.6 billion.
