MySpace CEO steps down

Posted: April 23, 2009 in Tech

Media company News Corp. announced that MySpace co-founders Chris DeWolfe and Tom Anderson will be stepping aside, with DeWolfe resigning his role as chief executive and Anderson shifting from president to an unspecified “new role”.

DeWolfe will carry on serving the board of MySpace China and will be a strategic advisor to the company, News Corp. noted. The move is part of News Corp.’s plan to shake up MySpace’s management in a bid to reinvigorate its social networking business.
