Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) marked an early start to the holidays with the launch of seven top-of-the-line imaging devices. True to form, the new products were unveiled in a grand, glacial expo at the EDSA Shangri-La Manila.

Spearheading the launch is the Canon EOS 60D, a mid-range DSLR for the light-advanced amateurs. The EOS 60D boasts of features usually found in pro-level EOS DSLR cameras.

The highly-anticipated follow-up to the popular 50D, the EOS 60D packs innovative technologies and features that include a wide Vari-Angle ClearView LCD monitor (the first on an EOS), built-in creative filters, 18 -Megapixel APS-C size CMOS Sensor, and a powerful DIGIC 4 image processor.

Also featured is a new range of Canon EF lenses, extenders, and a large capacity battery grip suitable for use with the 60D and other Canon cameras.

Camera enthusiasts might recall Canon’s introduction of a new High Sensitivity system from its compact camera line earlier this year in the red-hot Digital IXUS 300 HS. This new technology allows point-and-shoot users to take photographs even in difficult, low light situations.

In its pursuit to provide consumers innovative and relevant products, an exciting new assembly consisting of six top-of-the-line devices has been launched to delight all types of users.

First on the list is the Digital IXUS 1000 HS, which is equipped with the same high-tech HS System mentioned . This stylish camera is also the world’s slimmest, fully-flat shooter with 10x optical zoom. Two new telephoto cameras are also now available: the reasonably priced PowerShot SX130 with 12x optical zoom, and PowerShot SX30, Canon’s most powerful superzoom compact camera with 35x optical zoom (equivalent to a 24-840mm ). Canon’s celebrated prosumer line also welcomes two new members, the G12 and S95, both of which now come with Full HD movie recording capability and a newly improved hybrid image stabilization system.

Not to be outdone is Canon’s popular compact photo printer line, which adds to its roster the redesigned SELPHY CP800. Available in matte white or black, the affordable gadget is the first in the series to be equipped with USB Memory support and SDXC compatibility. This expands the user’s printing options to the now-ubiquitous thumb drives and ultra high-capacity memory cards. New functions guarantee enhanced operability for both home users and entrepreneurs: the ID Layout function automatically arranges photos in international-standard sizes, while the Shuffle Layout enables instant collage-style printing.

Pioneering, reliable, and backed by CMPI’s strong customer service, these new gadgets are sure to bring on the smiles this season. Seize the holidays with Canon: your life’s digital imaging expert.
