Lenovo Business-Focused Desktop Duo Gives Customers Extra Productivity and Savings

Posted: December 8, 2010 in Tech

Lenovo introduced its newest desktops in the ThinkCentre M Series – the ThinkCentre M70z and M80. Designed for medium-sized businesses and large enterprises, this desktop duo gives customers advanced productivity technologies, such as Intel iCore processors and support for multiple displays along with Lenovo extras, like super fast boot up and advanced web conferencing.

“Businesses now have another option for a sleek and compact all-in-one desktop,” said Vicky Agorrilla, country general manager, Lenovo Philippines. “The ThinkCentre M70z gives customers style and space-savings along with the performance, security, manageability and energy efficiency features of our M Series enterprise desktops.”

Power-Packed All-in-One
The M70z blends style, performance and extra features that make a difference into one machine. This powerful all-in-one keeps pace with separate desktop and monitor solutions: It can boot up in about 30 seconds, crunch intensive data and multitask using Intel Core i3 or i5 processors. The M70z provides seamless connectivity at the desk using its Gigabit Ethernet or it can connect through WiFi for a clean work space without a cable.

The all-in-one also sets the bar high for the video conferencing experience. It has an elegant 19-inch display, a high definition web camera, separate microphone and mute buttons, and a DVD player and DisplayPort for watching high definition content. To safeguard privacy, the web camera even comes with a physical cover to easily control when the web camera is on or off. An optional touchscreen brings a new dimension to the computing experience enhanced with Lenovo’s Simple Tap, a touch-enabled PC navigation package.

The all-in-one not only makes performance powerful, but also efficient for businesses and the environment. Using the included power management tools, businesses can save more than PhP 2,000 a year per desktop.1 The M70z also uses nearly 50 percent recycled content and meets many environmental certifications, including TCO Certified Edge, EPEAT Gold, Energy Star 5.0 and GreenGuard.

Desktop Options Focus on Performance
The ThinkCentre M80 tower and small form factor desktop gives customers looking for powerful performance at entry to mainstream pricing several options. The desktop also features four memory slots for upgradeability, DASH management functionality and USB enablement/disablement for security. The M80 features choices of the latest Intel Core i3 or i5 processors, Gigabit Ethernet, a DVD player or burner and multiple USB ports for connecting to peripherals. The desktop offers Energy Star 5.0 models.

As with all Lenovo ThinkCentre desktops, the M80 and M70z offer Lenovo’s unique ThinkVantage Technologies (TVTs), a suite of software-based tools that help customers better manage the five stages of the PC lifestyle cycle – deployment, connection, protection, support and disposal of systems.

Both products also come equipped with the Lenovo Enhanced Experience for Windows 7, a certification only available to Lenovo products that deliver a faster, richer and easier computing for customers running Windows 7 on Lenovo PCs.

Pricing and Availability
The desktops will be available by end 2010 through Lenovo business partners. Pricing for models of the ThinkCentre M70z and M80 starts at approximately PhP 52,100.00 and PhP 39,985.00 respectively.
