Globe Telecom ties up with the thrift banking arm of the Metrobank Group, Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank), to further enhance its electronic banking channels in response to demanding needs of consumers for a speedy, efficient, convenient and reliable banking services.

The collaboration allows Globe subscribers with PSBank accounts to access the bank’s electronic banking service anywhere, anytime. They can enjoy several financial transactions like payments, account inquiries, and reloading from their PSBank account to their registered GCASH wallet and vice-versa.

HP Philippines and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the nation’s monetary authority, join hands to launch a phenomenal advocacy against the production and proliferation of fakes and counterfeits. Dubbed as NO to Fakes. KNOW the Original!, the campaign seeks to raise public awareness and commitment to stop the proliferation of counterfeits, including frequently counterfeited items such as banknotes (Peso bills) and Original HP Ink cartridges and toners.

The Philippines desires for the removal of the country from the United States’ blacklist of countries tolerating intellectual piracy and counterfeits. In the past weeks, several government agencies have seized and destroyed counterfeit goods – from designer products to electronics. The BSP continues to protect the Filipinos from counterfeiters by working closely with police authorities while HP, along with the National Bureau of Investigation, has seized 22,000 fake ink cartridges and toners worth P21 million during this year alone.

Exclusively-owned subsidiary of Globe Telecom and operator of the pioneering m-commerce service GCASH, G-XChange Inc. (GXI) collaborates with the UnionBank of the Philippines (UnionBank) in delivering a service that allows consumers to link their UnionBank accounts to their GCASH mobile wallets through eMoney XChange.

The eMoney XChange allows UnionBank clients with EON, E-Wallet, ePayCard and UnionBank regular savings and checking accounts to transfer funds to and from their GCASH wallets via their UnionBank account through SMS. This is an additional feature in the company’s existing Globe Mobile Banking facility.
