Facebook is set to launch a new video chat product that would be powered by Microsoft-owned Skype.

Facebook and Skype have been working together, including integration of various Facebook features into the Skype service. Facebook has over 750 million users, while Skype has 170 million. Skype has over 207 billion minutes of voice and video conversations in 2010.

Microsoft already has been associated with Facebook. Microsoft’s, Bing powers the dominant social network’s search and the company also owns shares in the privately owned Facebook.
