PLDT SME Nation launches search for 2011 MVP Bossings

PLDT SME Nation opens the nominations for the 2011 MVP Bossing Awards beginning July until September 30. The MVP Bossing Awards is the company’s annual search of the best small and medium sized businesses in various industries nationwide.

With this year’s theme “Heroes of Business and Filipino Pride”, PLDT is inviting SMEs to nominate Pinoy Bossings who exhibit an enterprising spirit and share in its mission of innovation and nation building. The MVP Bossing Awards is an annual search for the best SMEs around the country. The contest is open to all entrepreneurs and homegrown Filipino business, operating at least 5 years. Nominations are on now until September 30.

“Small and medium-scale enterprises contribute largely to the GDP and to the nation’s export volume. These firms comprise the backbone of our economy. But the effects of entrepreneurship extend well and beyond the lives of the SME owner and his family. It creates job opportunities and livelihood for more people. Filipino entrepreneurs are the true heroes and it is a great honor for PLDT to support them,” says PLDT SME Nation VP and Head Kat Luna-Abelarde.

By becoming one of the 2012 Bossings, winners will join a prestigious roster of individuals hailed as examples of business success in various fields. Winners will be featured in a 12-month multimedia campaign that will give more exposure for their business or product.

A component of PLDT SME Nation’s Bossing Ako campaign, MVP Bossing Awards was launched in 2010 to inspire more Filipinos to be entrepreneurs.

Last year’s winners were Cecilio Pedro of Lamoiyan Corporation (Grand MVP Bossing Award); Sarabeth Salcedo of Baliwag Lechon; Steve Benitez of Bo’s Coffee; Cora D. Ong of CDO; Bam Aquino and Mark Ruiz of Hapinoy; Nelson and Siu Ping Par of PR GazHaus; Joe Magsaysay of Potato Corner; Annabella Wisniewski of Raintree Group; Rey and AnaisLapid of R. Lapid’s Chicharon and Barbecue; Henry Lim Bon Liong of SL Agritech; Bobby and Jojo Claudio of Toby’s Sports; and Federico Moreno and Vina Morales of Ystilo Salon.
