Acer Aspire S5 Ultrabook and Acer Iconia Tab A510 and Tegra 3 powered tablet were put on spotlight recently at the Acer event held in Marriot Hotel, Manila.

The S5 is Acer’s one of the new waves of ultrabooks with an Ivy Bridge Core i7 processor, tagged by the company as the thinnest ultrabook in the market with its 11mm frame. It boasts 256GB SSD drive, multiple ports and a 13-inch, 1366×768 resolution.

It also has Intel’s HD Graphics 4000 with 128MB of dedicated memory, allowing gamers to enjoy more life-like mainstream games.

Being the thinnest ultrabook, its ports are hidden in a motorized part of the Acer S5 that drops down at a press of a button. Additional features include Multi-Gesture touchpad and Crystal Eye HD webcam.

Acer’s Iconia Tab A510 is a 10.1-inch Android 4.0 tablet. It has a 1280×800 display and is powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 processor running at 1.3GHz. It is available at an SRP of Php 24,900 for the 32GB version.

Meanwhile, Acer is proud to be a Worldwide TOP Partner of the Olympic Movement for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

As official computer supplier, Acer is deploying all the computing hardware for the Olympic Games infrastructure. Across the 35 competitions venues and 62 operational venues, more than 13,000 desktops and laptops will be used during the Games. 350 Acer engineers and technicians will provide a 24/7 support during the 17 days of competition for the Acer computing equipment supplied.
