“As part of our corporate commitment of providing our subscribers with quality service at par with international standards, we have enhanced the features of our Internet and landline device that is in line with global market trends,” said Patrick Tang, head of PLDT HOME Voice Solutions.

The new Telpad S7 Lite, which subscribers can now own free when they subscribe to a Telpad plan that suits their requirements, is the world’s first Android -based tablet and landline device rolled into one that offers unlimited local calls, high-speed internet connection, and exclusive PLDT services.

With Android 4.0 ICS, the Telpad S7 Lite enables users to experience easy multitasking, rich notification features, customizable home screens, resizable widgets, and impressive interactivity capability that allow subscribers to easily communicate with loved ones locally and overseas, including photo-sharing.

Today, there are more than 600,000 android applications available – including top grossing applications and games such as ‘Angry Birds, Star Wars, Draw Something’ that can be uploaded onto a PLDT Telpad S7 Lite.

Tang said the Telpad is a worthy addition to any household that wants a bundled tablet to their phone and DSL connection. The new S7 Lite tablet landline unit, with its faster processor and Android 4.0 ICS mobile software, packs a punch, a solid performer and easily the best tablet that comes FREE when a family opts to subscribe to a Telpad plan – an ideal Christmas gift.

“This is part of PLDT’s vision of the future digital home,” said Tang. Telpad is laying down the groundwork and shaping tomorrow’s modern home.”
