Sony Philippines officially activates Summer 2012 with the launch of its newest line-up of the most stylish and sleekest gadgets of the year. Bound to become this season’s essentials, Sony presents an amazing new line-up of innovative products to give you that memorable summer worth reliving and sharing with everyone.

In the launch, Sony also announced its partnership with the Department of Tourism to promote the 7,107 islands of the Philippines to the world. Smart TVs are making their way in the industry. Its popularity has triggered Samsung to come up with an event hailed as the Samsung Smart TV Apps Congress, the first of its kind held in the Philippines.

The mission of the first Smart TV Apps Congress in the country is to inspire software developers to design apps that are suitable and helpful to the Filipino consumers. There are enormous apps available for Samsung Smart TVs, however, Samsung believes that by creating apps locally, it will allow Filipino users to maximize their capabilities and the advantages of Samsung Smart TV.

Intel Philippines formally launched a contest that will unravel Filipino’s love for music. Hailed as the “Sing to Win” contest, participants are encouraged to exhibit their creativity in making their own music videos, for a chance to win notebook that is powered by the 2nd Generation Intel Core processors.

The online contest actually started last August 28 and will end on December 1. “Sing to Win” online participants are challenged to create music videos and upload it on the Intel Philippines Facebook Page. Since the contest promotes the local music scene, participants are given 22 pre-selected OPM songs to choose from. With these pieces, they are allowed to show off their talents in any manner they wish to, and develop their film using any film style. The entries must be submitted on or before December 1.
