HP unveils the first ever 27-inch all-in-one workstation hailed as the HP Z1 workstation. It features a sleek industrial design paired with powerful specifications such as the Intel Xeon processors and the NVIDIA Quadro graphics.

HP recently announced the industry’s most self-sufficient line of servers – HP ProLiant Generation 8 (Gen8), the result of a $300M two-year program called Project Voyager. This addresses the top concerns of enterprises such as manual operations, unplanned downtime and growing server energy and facilities expenses cost.

This program is the company’s initiative to redefine data center economics by automating every aspect of the server life cycle. It has resulted in more than 900 patents filed and a new systems architecture called HP ProActive Insight architecture, which will span the entire HP Converged Infrastructure.

The search of who will be the next managing director of HP Philippines is finally over – Mr. Ryan C. Guadalquiver, managing director of Oracle Philippines is reportedly replacing Mr. David Tan as the new managing director of HP Philippines. Tan will assume a new role in the AP region.

The name of Guadalquiver surfaced as the possible replacement of Tan as early as October 27, 2009 (Tuesday). Very few information is available about Guadalquiver except that he served as Oracle Philippine’s managing director for a little over a year.

HP will make a formal announcement of Guadalquiver’s appointment on November 3, 2009.
