Intel releases quad-core notebook processor

Intel recently expanded its 45nm Core 2 Quad product lineup with the introduction of the mobile quad-core Q9000 processor, which runs at 2.00GHz, a 1066MHz FSB and a 45W TDP. Designed for multimedia and gaming enthusiasts, the new quad-core processors allow for extreme mobile performance and speed for gaming on the go.

Acer’s new Aspire 8930G is the first Notebook PC to feature the new processor.

Sony Xperia2 to be made by FoxConn and Asus

Sony Xperia X2, is expected to hit the market sometime in late 2009, but it won’t be manufactured by HTC. Rumous suggested that Sony Ericsson is in final talks with three companies, including FIH (Foxconn International Holdings) and Pegatron, a manufacturing arm of Asus for manufacturing the new handset.

Apple readies Mac OS X “Snow Leopard”

Apple is preparing to introduce next version of its OS X, tagged as “Snow Leopard”. Reports indicated that the new version focuses on refinement in speed, stability, and power management. LG Releases LCD TV With 0.5KHz refresh Rate

Microsoft launches Microsoft Answers

Panasonic to buy Sanyo in $9 billion deal

Panasonic Corp. said it has finalized a deal to acquire around a 70.5 percent stake in smaller rival Sanyo Electric Co. after major shareholders, including investment group Goldman Sachs, agreed to sell their
shares.

The purchase of each share will be 131 yen, making the total deal at up to 800 billion yen (about 9 billion dollars). The deal will create Japan’s largest electrical machinery maker. Panasonic said it will turn Sanyo into a subsidiary through a tender offer and report on its progress at the end of next February.
