HP Acquires 3Com for $2.7 Billion

HP and 3Com Corporation announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which HP will purchase 3Com, at a price of $7.90 per share in cash or an enterprise value of approximately $2.7 billion. The terms of the transaction have been approved by the HP and 3Com boards of directors.

Apple Releases Mac OS X 10.6.2

iPhone Suffers First Worm Attack

The Apple iPhone has its first virus called iKee – a worm that has been infecting jailbroken phones in Australia.
Written by a young Australian, Ashley Towns, the worm changes the wallpaper of the exploited phones to a picture of Rick Astley and then looks to infect other phones.
